This is a game to find out who has the talent to find out every little detail to describe a picture. In other words, you need to scrutinize like a detective, and describe like reporter!
Each player has to scrutinize the picture for details and write down three descriptive phrases (see example) within 2 minutes.
Players, in turn, read their answer aloud. The last winner (or the youngest person in the first round) starts first. Player mark their own answer sheets by circling acceptable answer that do not match another player’s answer. Then score 1 point for each of your circled answers. Mrs. Breen will record the total of your score on a chart. Just like Scattergories!
How to win?
After all the rounds have been played, scores of each player are added up. The player with the highest score wins!
* Definitely a interactive and engaging activity to get your English learners ready for the NYSESLAT (Picture description).
