Product Description
Each unit in this bundle will contain everything you need to teach an effective and engaging whole group literacy block for kindergarten or first grade! The units follows the close reading model and includes phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, phonics, and crafts or extensions! Everything is provided for you - all you need to provide is the books!

Each week, you will focus on one of the texts. Each day you will read it in different ways, focusing on a different comprehension strategy. Students will also respond through writing (instructions on how to scaffold this for K/1 are included).

The phonemic awareness, writing, and phonics activities are all differentiated for K/1 so you can easily use this to meet the needs of ALL your students!

Save BIG with the growing bundle - this bundle currently contains August/September - March. Each month will be added at least 2 months prior to that month and the price will go up as the units are added. This is the lowest it will ever be!

This bundle will eventually contain units for August-June with each unit containing 4 weeks of close reads (except August/September which contains 6 weeks).

Many of these books are available free for teachers to read and display digitally on Epic! at least at the time of posting.
