This set includes four activities.
Each student will need two paper plates and a page of food graphics. Tell students that they need to share their lunch (the food pictures) with their mom, dad, brother, sister, etc. Students will cut the whole pictures in half and will divide the carrot sticks so that each plate has the same amount. I had my students glue the pictures on the plates.
Students will sort the pictures by whole or half. There are 12 pictures to sort and heading cards.
Pizza Practice: Each student will need a copy of the page. Students will draw a line to divide the pizza in half. Cut out the toppings and glue the pepperoni on half and the beef on the other half of the pizza.
Students will trace their hand and a friend’s hand on the page. Then cut out the coins and glue on the hands so that each hand has half. How many did each get?
