Students will create a zoomed in drawing of an owl’s eyes/face. Students will use a wide range of line, shape, color, and texture to create their drawing. Students must fill up the entire page for a successful composition.
This is a power point that includes resource and reference images for student use, a lesson plan, and power point presentation for students to look, think, and see perspective in a different way. Student examples of this lesson are also attached. This lesson was completed by 5th grade students using chalk pastels but can be adapted to any grade level. This lesson could also be great for any nature or animal research projects or writing pieces. Students could do a visual art piece zoomed in to go along with a written story or research project.
