This is the time of year when animals that hibernate get ready for Winter. Although humans don’t hibernate, we do prepare for, and have different habits in Winter. In this 45-minute Yoga lesson, students explore animals that hibernate, and compare their Winter routines to those of humans. This product includes a detailed lesson plan, which can be taught by anybody (you don't have to be a Yoga teacher). The components are easily broken down to be taught over the course of 5 days, making it convenient to fit into your classroom schedule. Also included is a poem about bears with a list of accompanying Yoga poses, ideas for incorporating Kate Messner’s book, Over and Under the Snow, and a newsletter to take home.
