6 activities are included to help PreK and K learn about Fall, as well as working on hand-eye coordination and motor skills:
*Use the leaves on page 4 to decorate the fall trees (one is bare while the other tree can be used for matching color leaves). Place Velcro dots on the trees and leaves to help them stick
*Leaf Ten Frames: These are reproducible for students. Use
number cards or dice and have students roll/draw a number
and color on the ten frames.
*Apple Trees: Like the Fall Trees, students will decorate the
apple trees with the choice of apples on page 9 and 10; one
tree is blank, while the other is for lower students who may
need to match apples on the tree. Velcro dots work best to
help students stick the apples on the tree.
Variation: Use the spinners on pg 15 or 16 to determine how
many apples go on the tree
Color Apple Ten Frame: Use the spinner, students place the
apples from pg 9 or 10 on the frame OR you tell the student
the number of apples to count out and place on the frame.
Apple Ten Frame (pg 11-14): Using the spinners on pg 15 or 16, students spin to see how many apples they color on each ten frame.
Getting Dressed for Fall: Using the jackets and pants, students dress the two boys for Fall after a discussion of what we wear in Fall (weather is colder – no shorts, jackets, longer sleeves, pants, etc). Then, students complete the activity on pg 21 where they will color the kids who are wearing Fall clothes.
