A single page description validating the need for Enrichment Opportunities in the Classroom.
Gifted learners are our budding problem-solvers of the world. Comprehensive evidence and brain research show that gifted learners see and feel things differently from their peers.
Gifted learners have the potential to solve problems differently because they have the potential to think, imagine and develop original ideas.
While Enrichment is beneficial for all, it is a novel strategy that should be utilized for differentiation with gifted students as it meets their needs for developing Creative Thinking Skills and affords opportunity for unique and original activities not usually found in the regular classroom.
Gifted Learners typically love to learn new things. If designed and presented with novelty in mind, Enrichment is a strategy that can keep their fire lit.
