This powerpoint was created so that I could print in "handout" mode and make my own cards. Here, it was used to create 'why' cards. These cards are slightly different than typical 'why' cards because a statement is written above the description (e.g. "The man is sitting in front of the fan") with the question word "Why?" following that statement. I am able to use these with other children at the same time to address other issues such as grammar, vocabulary, describing and answering questions. I tried to use a variety of vocabulary so that I could use these with other students. All of my cards are different colors/themes so that they will not get mixed up. Additionally, I have coded them at the bottom for quick reference for therapists. I have many sets of cards for just about everything, so having them coded is key to staying organized. These are great for therapists who have to travel. I keep them in index card plastic boxes and label them with a sharpie. This was made by speech therapist, speech language pathologist, Dawn Gross.
