After hearing “are we going to play a game?” for the 100th time
in my therapy sessions, I realized that I had not done
a great job at explaining to the kids why they come to speech
I started reading this handout with kids (2nd or 3rd grade +)
at the start of the school year or when I begin
therapy with a new student.
You can read the whole handout, or you can just read the goal
areas that apply to that student or group. If I am choosing to
read the whole handout, I have the kids try to figure out what
goal area they think they are working on in therapy.
I have also included a few discussion questions that go with the handout.
