1.1 PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT: Why do we have governments?
--Analyze the purposes of government and create laws that reflect the purposes.
--Have students work in groups.
--Each group analyzes the many smaller squares within the larger square.
--Argue between groups over final answers.
--Encourage one person in some groups to stand up and take charge, encourage others to choose someone to represent their answer.
--About five students will stand before the classroom.
--Ask: So, lets say your life depends on this answer. Do you want this person representing you? Did you have a say?
