PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These hands-on measurement activities help First and Second Grade students understand the benefits of standard units of measure (inches or centimeters) while learning the attributes of length, width and height. Students measure objects that are easily found in the classroom with their hands, shoes, manipulatives and rulers and then reflect on their experiences. Through these activities students understand that a ruler is easier and faster to use and results in consistent and accurate measurements. There are pages for imperial (inches) and metric measurements (centimeters).
