Product Description

Why is Pluto NOT a planet?!?! My students argue vehemently that Pluto should be a planet. They LOVE learning about why it's not. This resource contains a one page reading that walks students through the reasoning, explained on a middle school level, of why Pluto should NOT be a planet. Students respond by drawing, labeling, coloring, and writing one complete sentence that demonstrates each of the four reasons. Why write when you could color? This lesson has the perfect combination of middle school want-to-know and science content. And it's SO self explanatory- you could leave it with a sub!
