Product Description
This handout for students asks them to think deeply about why we should study history. It asks them to think, for instance, about why we should study physical conflicts between nations; why we should study the different types of governments; why we should study the different groups that comprise a society, etc.

Students can write their responses on binder paper, through Google Docs, or as a Word doc., etc. Or, teachers can choose to have students discuss these prompts in small groups and share their ideas out to the whole class!

This handout is intended for high school students in either Modern World History or US History, but it could be used in middle school grades with teacher guidance.
