Product Description
Students read about the two major events which propelled the United States into World War I: The sinking of the passenger ship Lusitania, and the interception of the German telegram known as the Zimmerman Telegram (or Zimmermann Note).

After each short reading passage, students answer questions to test their knowledge and critical thinking skills. Students will also analyze political cartoons, maps, charts, and primary source documents. A graphic organizer to help students with their political cartoon analysis is included, as is a folder with the fonts used in the activity.
