Allow children an opportunity explore with wiggling worms! Build a worm habitat and observe worms with your senses. Then, use worms for both standard and non-standard measurement tasks as well as a writing activity. Printable worksheets are included for science observation, math activity, and ELA activity.
• Given various materials in the inquiry center, children will explore worms and their habitats.
•Children will document observations at developmentally appropriate levels using the appropriate journaling or observation sheets or dictating their observations to an adult.
• Children will use both standard and non-standard forms of measurement.
• Children will write a simulated journal experience from the point of view of a worm.
