This wild animal themed PowerPoint game reviews the use of punctuation. The game includes the following rounds:
ROUND 1: Review the Rules for Punctuation.
ROUND 2: The students will be presented with three sentences and asked to identify the one that is correct. There will be 25 questions in this round.
ROUND 3: Some words will flash on the screen. The students will be asked if it does or does not need punctuation.
**These PowerPoint game questions can be answered with Activotes, as a team game, or the students can write their answers on notebook paper or dry erase boards. During the multiple choice questions, the teacher can also stop and have the students explain why certain answer choices are incorrect.
The game reviews the following punctuation rules: periods after initials, periods in abbreviations, using comma between a city and a state, commas in a date, put an ending mark (.?!) at the end of a sentence, commas in the greeting/closing of a letter, and using commas in a series.
