2 Sets of 26 wild animal cards. One set contains cards with a picture and name. The second set contains cards with pictures and separate name cards.
1 set: mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles
1 set: big, small, medium
1 set: Herbivores, Carnivores, Omnivores and Detrivores
1 set: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America, North America and Antarctica
1 set: land, water, air
About 3 part cards:
The main aim of 3 Part Cards is to manipulate and match the cards in order to internalize the information on them. Although this is the main aim they can be used in various ways to master the information.
You can encourage conversation and build knowledge by:
Matching: Match the cards on the first set with the cards and the name from the second set.
Describing: Assimilate vocabulary describing the images in detail
Ask questions: Build knowledge by asking questions or giving information through “Did you know” (What noise does each animal make?)
Specific information: Ask specific questions related to each animal (Why do giraffes have long necks?)
Sort by categories: size, food, continents, types. Labels are included.
Who am I? : The children will have to determine the animal based on clues given by the teacher or a pupil.
