Wild, Weird and Wonderful Surreal Landscape Visual Arts Lesson for 4th to 12th Grade
Since fantasy computer games are a common pastime with older students, surrealism is a great lesson to capture their interest. This project allows the students to utilize their imagination to journey where we haven’t gone before.
Developmentally speaking this lesson addresses the 4th grade student through 12th desire to create a fantasy world.
The major objectives has the students recognize and discuss the use of size in art works to create a composition with depth, and create their own dream world. The students display their knowledge by applying this information in a in a surreal landscape.
