Spring and summer are excellent times to teach units on weather science and the water cycle. Here is a month-long weather science unit with 30 science activities including a weather station. Science activities include experiments, games, science projects, crafts, and recipes to explore spring/summer weather science. Science subjects cover geology, earth science, geography, physics, ecology and natural science. This is a cross-curricular weather science unit with connections in literature, math, reading, writing, social studies, art, physical education, music and drama. It can be adjusted for preschool, elementary and special needs students. The unit is organized by the five elements or ingredients in the weather recipe. Weather station experiments require monitoring in outdoor or indoor science learning center. Specific activities are coded to show which core content area they cover.
