PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These worksheets will pair nicely while you play two songs that relate to the major themes in Lord of the Flies. I always play the songs aloud first and have them annotate the lyrics of the songs with notes before I hand out the worksheets.

These two worksheets will allow your students to analyze and evaluate the similarities between two different literary mediums: songs and text. The worksheet is great for group work! It allows students to bounce ideas off of one another and compare notes.

All you need to do is provide a copy of the lyrics for the following songs:
Liar (It Takes one to Know One) by Taking Back Sunday
You're Gonna Go Far, Kid by the Offspring (make sure you get the "clean version"...there is ONE word that is repeated that is offensive... you should just make sure you have the one without it...it is EASY to find!)
