In this engaging review activity, students practice using anatomical directional terms and the names of body regions. First, a student draws shapes on a body outline and writes directions to a partner. Then the image is covered and the partner follows the directions.
This activity reinforces basic anatomy vocabulary such as abdominal, cranial, pelvic, spinal, thoracic, superior, inferior, anterior, posterior, medial, lateral, proximal, distal, etc. It also strengthens writing skills within the science curriculum.
