Ready, Set, Measure! This lesson plan works best as a small group activity. It can then be used as a math center. The activity fits well in a unit on measurement and the selection of wind up toys can place it in other thematic units. It has been successfully used with bug toys within a bug unit. This works perfect for your preschool, prekindergarten, kindergarten, and first classroom.

Students will practice the following concepts:
Compare & Measure:
Students will compare how far two objects traveled to determine which went farther.
Students will practice writing numerals in response to how many cubes tall the flowers are.
One to One Correspondence:
Students will count cubes.
