Directions – Classroom Quiz Show.

This is a PowerPoint presentation that runs like a game show. There are 5 categories and 5 questions in each category. Students choose the category and question they would like (“wind” for 400) and the presenter clicks on the amount. The question appears, and another click reveals the answer. Then the presenter clicks on “Return to Game Board” and the next question can be asked.

You will need to make some decisions about how to play this. You can divide your class into however many teams you prefer (I recommend three or four). You can decide to have a time limit for each answer or not, how long the limit will be, and whether one student on the team has to answer or if consultation is allowed. I recommend taking turns between teams in choosing the question and attempting to answer it, rather than having students “ring in” or raise their hands first – it is more orderly. You will have to keep your own score on the whiteboard/ chalkboard.

Use this fun Jeopardy-themed game to review concepts relating to wind, weather, seasons, the Earth and sun, etc. Use before a test or as a fun way to wrap up a unit.
