I love literature circles and novel studies! My students are having so much fun creating lapbooks along with their novels! I like to use comprehension questions that are specific to the text that the students are using. It makes it easier to give them specific feedback and guidance. After reading the assigned chapter, I have my students respond to a comprehension and vocabulary task card.
The Windcatcher lapbook and task card question set has a comprehension and vocabulary question for all 21 chapters and an answer key for easy accountability!
I have also added a Thinker's Key activity for creative and critical thinking. I love getting my kiddos thinking with Thinker's Keys. Have you used them in your classroom? They are a great differentiation tool for your gifted learners! Just google Thinker's Keys and they will pop right up!
The lapbook includes the following skills:
- Point of View
- Character Traits
- Sequence of Events
Task cards include the following skills:
- Key Details
- Literary Phrases
- Cause and Effect
Happy reading! :)
