Art is perfect for those wintery afternoons. My students love their artwork and I love seeing them all feel successful.
This unit has directed drawing instructions for 6 art lessons. These lessons have step by step directions for you to read while students watch and follow your demonstration. By leading the class, you have the opportunity to talk about composition and how they place their drawings on the paper. These make “fool proof” projects which can be turned into great bulletin boards.
We all have times when a quick independent project is good to have. I have included five simple directed drawing “Draw it Yourself” sheets for independent drawing. These are quick and good for indoor recess or for a short periods when you need students to be independent workers. I sometimes include them in substitute folders.
