This bundle contains 2 Powerpoint (.pptx) presentations. The first slideshow introduces 4 winter-themed arts: gingerbread houses, snow sculptures, ice sculptures, and paper snowflakes. Teacher notes are included with each slide to explain the areas and offer fun facts. This slideshow is great as an intro before beginning a winter or Christmas-themed project. Its purpose is to introduce beginning art students to art media besides the usual (painting, drawing, ceramics, etc.).
The 2nd presentation is for upper level art students. It uses winter projects to facilitate a class discussion of “What is Art?” and opens with a review of the definition of art. There are 6 picture slides covering 3 areas – gingerbread houses, snow sculptures, and paper snowflakes – with a “low talent” and “high talent” photo for each area. The purpose is for students to think critically and share their ideas of what art is. Brief teacher notes are included with each slide.
The Powerpoints can be edited for your personal classroom use, but no part may be copied, sold, or given away. Your purchase grants the use of these slideshows to 1 person. Additional copies may be purchased at a reduced rate for your colleagues. Thank you for respecting the time and effort that went into these projects.
Your feedback is appreciated and provides you with TPT credits that can be used on future purchases!
