Are you looking for an idea on how to incorporate positive behavior, math, and STEM? This idea came to me when I was noticing that my students LOVED building and doing some of our other STEM activities! This challenge will help reinforce positive behavior in your classroom! As students show positive behavior, they randomly select a snowball. On the snowball, there is a number (1-5). It is up to you how many 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. in the bucket. If you plan reinforcing positive behavior often, you may not want to put a lot of 5s in the bucket. They keep track of their points on one of the papers provided until the end of the month. Their total number of points is how many marshmallows they will get to build their snow design! Students can create snowmen, snow forts, sleds, etc. On the last day of the month, each student will get a bag with the number of marshmallows they earned. The students use these marshmallows to build a snow design! I let my students use their imagination and build anything their heart desires!
This is a great product to promote positive behavior and incorporates math and STEM!
