Thank you for purchasing the Winter Division Bump Games. This set of five engaging games provides a fun and interactive way for your students to work on division fact fluency.
Included in this packet you will find division bump games with problems written in three different formats.
- Two Games using the division symbol (a line in the middle with a dot above and below the line)
- Two Games using the division “house”
- One Game in fraction format
I have also included a festive snowflake printable dice. I have included problems written in these three formats because I feel that it is necessary for true fluency. Students must be able to recognize and answer equations no matter how they are written.
Bump games are designed for two players. In addition to the game board and two dice, you will also need some sort of playing pieces for each player. I like to use unifix cubes, but any sort of small counter or token will also work. Each player will need 10 playing pieces.
Bump games are one of my favorite ways to practice fact fluency. It’s a fast paced and engaging activity which means that students are having fun and learning at the same time.
Bump games are ideal for math centers, early finishers, small group instruction, and even as a little extra take home activity for students to do with their parents. The instructions are printed right at the bottom of the game board, so students can easily reference them if they forget how to play.
Thank you again for your purchase. I hope you enjoy the Winter Division Bump Games as much as I do.
