Unfamiliar vocabulary can leave newcomer ELLs feeling lost and confused in their new environment, but these 20 task cards focusing on winter vocabulary will help! Students may use them individually or with a partner. The cards can be practiced orally or as a written activity. The answers to the cards are printed on the back side. Trackers and practice sheets are included as well.

Print in color, double-sided and laminate for a reusable set of cards. Cardstock also works well. The cards can be kept in plastic bags or on a ring so that students can access them for independent practice throughout the day or at home.

Included in this product are the following:

20 task cards with a picture and sentence to aid understanding

20 answer key task cards

A student tracker for completing the task cards

A challenge activity to create new sentences
