A fun art experience that introduces the elementary student to the meaning of symmetry and mono-print through a fun painting project combined with a language arts writing experience. An "easy-art" lesson that can be done in the classroom.
Symmetry means similar arrangements on either side of a line down the middle. This learning will take place as the students create a painted monoprint. A monoprint is a print ( a mark made on a surface by pressing that can only be done one time. Mono is a prefix meaning once.
