Winter Fix It - Editing Practice

Winter has arrived! This Fix-It freebie gives students the opportunity to practice applying grammar, spelling and editing skills in a simple but fun way. I use this type of activity often in my second grade class. Sometimes I make it a center for students to work during Word Work. Other times, I use the activity with the whole class at once.

There are 12 sentences included in this activity. Students read each sentence card and look for the mistakes. The number at the end of the sentences tells how many errors the sentence has. After locating the mistakes, students write the sentence correctly on the recording sheet. I included a self-checking answer key, as well.
