These cards are designed for children to expand their describing skills, and to answer simple who, what and where questions. Included are 24 describing cards, 16 “WHERE” question cards, 10 “WHAT” question cards, 8 “WHO” question cards, and a game board.
Describing Details: ‘Cookie Dough Game’ (aka ‘Go Fish’)
Five cards are dealt to each student. The remaining cards are placed face down in a draw pile. One student asks the person to the left for a specific bear that matches one that is currently in the 1st student’s hand. Ex. “Do you have a gingerbread holding a candy cane?”
If the student has any cards of the requested cards, s/he must give all of those cards to the student who asked for them.
If the student asked does not have the card s/he says, "Cookie Dough." and the asking student draws the top card from the draw pile. If the card drawn is the card asked for, it is shown to the other students and that student gets another turn. However, if the card drawn is not the one asked for, it becomes the next student's turn.
The game continues until either someone has no cards left in their hand or the draw pile runs out. The winner is the student who then has the most sets of four.
Answering Who, What and Where Questions
Students select a card, look at the picture and answer a Wh-question about it. If the question is answered correctly, a token is moved ahead the number of spaces indicated on the card. Take an extra turn when landing on a cupcake.
The first student to reach finish is the winner.
