In this activity, your students can choose the genetics of SnowMen or the genetics of Christmas Trees! They will have to roll dice to determine 16 traits (genotype and phenotype) for the father and roll again to determine 16 traits (genotype and phenotype) for the mother. They will combine the mother's and father's genotypes into Punnett Squares to show the likelihood of all possible offspring traits. Once their 16 Punnett Squares are finished, they will roll the dice again to determine which traits from the Punnett Squares will represent their baby. They can use construction paper (or any other materials you'd like to provide) to actually construct a model of the baby with accurate traits from the parental cross.
