This is a fun activity for graphing those winter blues away. It could be used as a fun way to take roll as students enter the classroom, then discuss the graph during “Morning Meeting”. The pictures with labels are set up as “Would You Rather” questions. Print the pages on card stock. Add magnets to use on magnetic white boards, or simply mount with tape. Students can add their names or initials under their choice. If you have their names on magnetic strips, this can be a quick way to take roll. These will also work well in a pocket chart.
Enjoy asking students why they chose what they did and even incorporating it into a fun writing activity. Don’t forget those essential questions about “fewest”, “most”, “how many more”, and “If another person chose, what would probably be their choice? Why?”.
