How to Play Go Fish:
Print out cards on cardstock. I laminate them to last longer. I remove the Santa cards for Go Fish. Students take turn reading sentences to find pairs. They "Go Fish" if no one has a match. We play until we've gone through the entire deck, then count the cards. The player with the highest card count wins.
How to Play Santa's Surprise:
Use the cards from Go Fish. Place a Santa card randomly throughout the stack. Students turn over cards and read them. When a player reaches a Santa card, they get to take the current stack of cards already read. Play continues until you reach the end of the stack. The player with the highest card count, including the Santa cards, wins.
