This bundle is packed with activities and literacy connections for winter and the holidays.
Activity 1: Baby It's Cold Outside: ABC Order- Students put 14 words in ABC order
Activity 2: Winter Wonderland: Making Words from the phrase WINTER WONDERLAND
Activity 3: Have or Has? Students read sentences and decide if it needs the word 'have'or 'has'
Activity 4: Winter Cheer- Descriptive Words and Sentences- Students describe 4 different pictures using adjectives and then write a descriptive sentence for each.
Activity 5: Read "Olive, the Other Reindeer" by J. Otto Seibold. Students will make a reindeer writing craftivity and write a short story. 5 different writing prompts are included as well as various levels of writing paper.
Activity 6: Read "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bell" by Lucille Colandro. Students will sequence the story events by putting sentences in order. A comprehension test is included with answers.
Activity 7: Read "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. After reading the book, students will make a mitten book of the beginning, middle, and end of the story. Story sentences are included or students can write their own sentences on the lined mittens provided. A comprehension test is included with answers.
Activity 8: Read "Snowmen At Christmas" by Cara Buehner. Students will make their own snowman book and write and/or draw what they would do if they were a snowman during the holidays. Students then take a comprehension test (answer key included).
