Your students will love playing these fun, winter themed games while practicing their math skills of making ten. This product includes everything you need for two math center games.
- Center Instructions and Center Labels
- Snowball Splat Number Cards with ten frames
- Mitten Bump Play Mat with markers
This game is played like the card game “Old Maid.” The object of the game is for students to pair numbers that make 10 when added. The file includes 12 cards numbered 0-10. There are two “5” cards so that they can pair up together. One set of cards is enough for 2 or 3 players, but you can will need 2 sets if your groups have 4 or 5 players. You will only need ONE “Splat!” card per game. There is an extra card in the file, so you can use that as a replacement in case someone decides to bend or mark the “Splat!” card. I recommend printing the cards on cardstock and laminating for added durability. To create the math center, simply print the cards, instructions, and center label.
This game is a fun way for students to practice matching numbers that add to ten. Each game will need one set of number cards, a game mat, and 20 two colored counters. If you don’t have a set of counters with your math manipulatives, I have included printable counters you can use. Also, the game mat shows small numbers next to each mitten. This allows students to know what number is on the mitten if it is covered with a counter. I recommend printing the cards and game mat on cardstock and laminating for added durability. To create the math center, simply print a set of number cards, the game mat, and center label.
I greatly appreciate your feedback!
