Centers Included:

Level 1: Snowman Button & Nose Shape Match

This Beginning level activity introduces shapes in a fun and interesting way.. The snowmen mats all have noses of differing shapes. Included are; circle, triangle, square, rectangle and oval. Match the shaped buttons to the shape on the snowman’s nose! This is a fun and hands-on way to introduce or work on those basic shapes! The students will be able to see and explore all the attributes of each shape and feel successful as they complete the activity.

Level 2: Snowman Nose Match & Clip

This activity builds on the first by helping students practice identifying basic shapes. There are 8 shapes Circles, Triangles, Squares, Ovals, Hexagons, Stars, Hearts, Rhombus & Rectangles. Just clip the snowman with the same shaped nose as the big picture on each card. The Students will remember the basic shapes they have already been introduced to, and enjoy the ability to identify the shape themselves! This is a great fine motor activity to really understand the attributes of each shape and to practice fine motor skills independently!

Level 3: What Belongs to Me? Shape Sort

This activity builds on the first two. In this activity we will see 6 differently shaped snowmen-one per mat. Each mat will have 4 spaces for cards with the same shape. Students will have to find four different cards with real-world pictures of things of the same shapes as the snowmen on the mats. This activity brings into focus that shapes are all around us and that our world is made of different shapes!

Find the Center activity that works best for your students.
