PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Your students will have fun completing these graphing and pattern activities that center around the theme of winter! Students will count and graph pictures, ask classmates questions and graph their responses, identify what comes next in a pattern and more! Five pattern challenge sheets have also been included to provide differentiation! The printables in this packet can be used for independent work, morning work, math centers and homework!

The skills included are:

• Graphing (10 pages)
• Patterns - AB, ABB, AAB, AABB and ABC (11 pages)
• Pattern Challenges (5 pages)

The activities included are:

Graphing:
• Penguins! – Students count different penguins and graph how many there are.
• Stay Warm! – Students count winter items and graph how many there are.
• Run, Run as Fast as You Can! – Students count gingerbread items and graph the amount.
• Winter Wonderland! – Students count winter items and graph how many there are.
• Which Activity is Your Favorite? – Students ask classmates which winter activity they like the most and record their responses on a graph.
• Which Owl is Your Favorite? – Students ask classmates which winter owl they like the most and record their responses on a graph.
• Which Dog is Your Favorite? - Students ask classmates which winter dog they like the most and record their responses on a graph.
• Which Food or Drink Do You Like Most? - Students ask classmates which food or drink they like most in the winter and record their responses on a graph.
• What Do You Like to Wear Most? - Students ask classmates what they like to wear most in the winter and record their responses on a graph.
• Dice Graphing - Which Number Will You Roll the Most? – Students roll a dice and record the number on their graph. When all squares under one number are filled in they stop and add the totals to see how many times each number was rolled.

Patterns:
• What Comes Next? – Students determine what comes next in a pattern.
• What’s Missing? - Students determine the missing picture in a pattern.
• Cut and Paste – Students cut and paste pictures to complete patterns.
• Patterns Around the Room! (minimal prep) - Students hunt around the classroom for patterns. They determine which picture is needed to complete the patterns and record the answers on their activity sheet.

Pattern Challenges:
• What Comes Next? – Students determine what comes next in more difficult patterns.
• What’s Missing? – Students determine what is missing in more difficult patterns.
• Cut and Paste - Students cut and paste pictures to complete more difficult patterns.
