Product Description
Winter Math & Literacy Centers {Kindergarten}
Hands-on, fun, and engaging full-color activities that can be laminated and used for years to come. These activities are rigorous enough to review and practice important skills, but simple enough for children to do independently. These work great as a review for first-graders or for advanced preschoolers as well!

:) Happy Teaching!

This goes great with: January Morning Work {Kindergarten}
and
Winter Math and Literacy No-Prep {Kindergarten}

This packet includes these 10 Centers:
Penguin Number Puzzles:
Children match up the ten frames with the number, and number word.

Snowman Making 10:
Children look at the snowman cards, count the snowman heads, and write down equations for making ten on the recording sheet.

Winter Wonderland Numbers:
Each recording sheet is a different activity for children to do. Children draw numbers from a pile to complete the recording sheet.

Winter Graphing:
This includes five different sets. Each picture page matches up with a recording sheet. Children look at the picture page and color in the graph, then answer the questions.

Snowcream Subtraction Smash:
Children build play dough balls for the number of snowcream cups for each problem. Then, they smash the amount to be subtracted and write their answer using a dry-erase marker.

Word Family Snowball Fight:
Children match the snowball words to the snowball fort word families. Then, they record the words on the recording sheet.

Winter Sight Word Sentences:
Mix up the sentence cards. There are two ways you can do this activity. One way is to laminate the recording sheet and have children arrange the words on the sheet to make a sentence. The other way is to give each child a recording sheet and have them write the sentence words in the squares.

Winter Word Building:
Children will build the word on the card using the picture to help figure out the missing letters. Words used: cat, hat, box, fan, sun, bug, dog, jar, mug, and pig.

Mitten Match-up:
Children match up upper and lowercase mittens.

Race to the Top:
Seven different sight word recording sheets are provided. Children use a pencil and paperclip to spin the spinner and write the word in the column on the recording sheet. They repeat this until one of the word columns is filled in, then color the picture at the top of the “winning” sight word.
