Returning from the winter break can be crazy! If you are looking for something quick, easy, yet really beneficial to use in math the day you return from winter break, this winter math pack will be great at serving that purpose.
This winter math pack is perfect to use as part of your sub plans too. We all want something easy to prepare when we have to use a sub!! This pack is print and go.
They are also great for morning work, practicing a skill you have recently taught, or for filling in small gaps of time you have during the winter months.
This winter pack is a print and go pack with lots of skills covered. When you get this pack copied, just set the printer to staple the pack and it will be like a booklet. Easy! Of course, you can use all of the pages individually at different times too. Use these winter activities however they work in your own classroom.
A variety of math skills are included in the pack.
*Cute Winter Wonderland Themed Cover Page - great for coloring when they finish their work.
* 2 word problem pages (skills included deal with fractions, adding,subtracting, division, multiplying, measurement, money- They are multi-step and could be quite challenging for your weaker math students.
*Winter Word Values - find the values of the Winter words using the key- A=1 cent, B=2 cents, etc)
*Giving a Hoot About Numbers (Winter/owl themed) - write numbers in expanded and word form. Tell the value of the underlined digit.
*Rounding Numbers is SNOW much Fun! - Round the given numbers to the place of the underlined digit.
*Mitten Multiplication - multiply the two digit by 1 digit numbers
*Keeping Warm with Multiplication- Multiply the two digit by 2 digit numbers. Writing the answer below the winter hats.
*It's Snowing Subtraction- subtract the numbers found in the snow globes.
*Mixed Number Monsters (Monsters wearing winter hats)- Write the mixed number for the improper fraction.
*Simplest Form Snowballs- Write the fractions in each snowball in simplest form
*Cocoa Cup Comparisons - Write the 4 numbers listed in each cocoa cup in order from greatest to least. Numbers go up to hundred thousands.
*Arctic Factors- Write the factors for each number listed in the igloos.
*Snowflake Symmetry Activity
*2 Grid Pictures - transfer the winter themed images to a larger grid
