This packet is great for a fun winter/snow themed week, especially for those of us who won’t be seeing any snowfall this season. I’m even thinking of adding in a mitten/scarf day and cranking up the air in our classroom :). These activities will work great in centers and/or small group time. Some of the activities come with a recording sheet that can be used after completing the given activity.
Here is what you’ll find in this packet:
Pages 2-8- Mitten patterns (including pattern labels ‘AB, ABC, AAB, ABB’ and Color-A-Pattern worksheet)
Pages 9-14- Skip Counting by 10s and 5s (including a worksheet for counting by 10s, a beginning tracer page and a more advanced fill in the blank sheet as well)
Page 15- Graphing sheet for the following question: Do you like hot chocolate or hot cider?
Pages 16-18- Snowflake sort and graph
Pages 19-24- Fry’s sight word (1-60) board game
Pages 25-29- ‘How to…” make hot chocolate pocket chart cards and writing page
Pages 30-55- Mitten Addition Match up (including a blank mitten page to create your own)
Pages 56-61- Real or Nonsense word cards and recording sheet
