Winter Little Book
This winter book is ideal for completing during winter after doing a brainstorm about things that they might see, smell, hear and taste in winter. The sentence stems read: "In winter I see__, In winter I hear _____, In winter I smell _____, In winter I taste _____".
Winter math printables for Kindergarten and First Grade. Use these 20 sheets in centers, for reinforcing your math program, or for homework. Skills covered in this Math product:
comparing numbers (more, less, equal)
This is a measurement (non-standard units) activity for winter or to accompany your arctic and antarctic animals unit. Print and laminate the animal cards and snowflake rulers, and provide the recording sheets for your students to record their measuring. This can be done as a "measure the room" activity by posting the images around the room, or you can scatter them around on desks/tables and have students find them. Alternately, you can place them all in a bin and have students use it as a center.
