This resource provide five fun and inviting winter literacy and math centers for learners to practice numerals to 20 and matching upper and lower case letters. This packet includes:
• 1 tally marks clip card activity
• 1 missing numerals clip card activity
• 1 tens frame clip card activity
• 1 letter matching activity clip card activity (select lower case letter)
• 1 letter matching activity clip card activity (select upper case letter)
The cards have Winter themed penguin and owl graphics.
Print, laminate, and cut out the clip cards. You will need to supply 110 clothespins for all 5 activities in this packet.
There is a task and a choice of three responses printed on each card. Learners clip a clothespin on the correct response for the task on the card or they can use dry erase markers to circle the correct response. You may opt to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer on the back or marking a dot on the back at the correct spot. You may put the cards in a dollar store photo album and use a dry erase marker to make a write-on/wipe off activity. These activities are great for early finishers.
These activities help learners develop numeracy and support the Math Common Core Standards for Counting and Cardinality and ELA Standards for Print Concepts.
