Your kiddos will LOVE measuring these winter objects! A great activity to use in math stations during the Winter Season!
This packet contains the following:
1. Measuring with Snowballs (non-standard): Students measure each other using snowballs. Simply print out the snowballs, tape them to a wall. Students measure each other and complete the record sheet. My students love to see how tall they are!!
2. Snowman Measuring - Measure 5 different snowmen using large marshmallows, mini-marshmallows and cotton balls.
3. Let It Snow Measuring - Students measure winter objects using standard or non-standard measurement. A snowflake ruler is included. This activity can be used as a Measure Around the Room Activity - place the cards around the classroom. Students find each card, measure and record. OR place the cards in a Sensory tub. This is one of my students' favorite stations! I simple place the cards in a Rubbermaid box filled with shredded paper, rice, beans, etc. They LOVE it! Students find a card, measure and record. OR place the cards in a small group station. Students choose a card, measure and record.
3. Marshmallow Measuring - Students measure objects on the picture cards using the marshmallows or the marshmallow ruler (included). Color the ruler on the recording page to show how long/tall each object is.
