#jan17slpmusthave This winter themed no prep articulation packet is perfect to get you through the long winter! It contains 224 pages of no prep activities to target /s/, /z/, /s/ blends, /l/, /l/ blends, prevocalic /r/, vocalic /r/, /r/ blends, "sh," "ch," "th," "j," /f/, /v/, /k/, /g/, /t/, /d/, /p/, and /b/! The best part? No cutting, no gluing, no laminating required! Just print the black and white pages out and use! The only supplies needed are dice and crayons. Bingo markers are optional.
Here's what's included:
Roll and Say Articulation (2 pages): You will need a dice to play this game. Have students roll a dice and then choose a word on one of the mittens/stocking caps from the corresponding row. Have them say the word as many times as you’d like and let them color it in when they are done. Try to get all of them colored!
Make Snowballs Activity: Roll the dice and see what you get. Color a snowball in the corresponding pile – see which pile fills up first. I have the students guess which pile they think will fill up first before we start, then they can see if they were right.
Get Dressed for Winter Activity: Roll the dice and see what you get. Color a clothing item in the corresponding pile – see which pile fills up first. I have the students guess which pile they think will fill up first before we start, then they can see if they were right.
Say & color Pages: Each section of the picture has 8 words for the students to say. Have them say the words as many times as you’d like and then let them color in the corresponding part of the picture.
Say & Dot Pages: There are 4 Snowflake Themed Dot Pages – one for each word position and one mixed. Have the students say the words as many times as you’d like. Then they can either color it in or dot it with a bingo marker.
Get the Sled Down the Hill Board Game: Roll the dice and fill in the corresponding number of arrows. Say the words on the arrows as you go. Whoever gets their sled to the bottom of the hill first wins!
Say & Draw silly sentences: Have the students say all 5 of the silly sentences loaded with the appropriate speech sounds. Once they have said them, they can draw a picture of one of the sentences at the bottom of the page.
I have personally used these activities with Pre-K through 5th grade with great success (of course you have to read the words to the younger kiddos - but they enjoy the activities anyway!). Fellow speech therapists have also reported success using these activities with middle school students as well.
