Description
This is a nonfiction science text about the origination of hot chocolate. It is an independent read for upper elementary grades, but would make a great read aloud for the lower grades. It would be a great supplement to the Polar Express. It is paired with a science experiment that involves recording temperatures. There are graphic organizers for independent follow-up work after the reading on several different levels, as well as a recording sheet for the experiment.
