Learning about parts of speech
helps make children better speakers and writers. In this set, 1st and 2nd graders sort words into nouns
, and adjectives
. They practice reading and spelling as they place words in the appropriate columns on the Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives worksheet. A set of task cards provides opportunities for students to think about words that can be either nouns or verbs, depending on how they are used in a sentence.
