This flip book allows students to learn a bit more about the history of the Olympic games, and specifically about the 2018 Winter Olympic games being held in PyeongChang, South Korea.
We are making this flip book over the course of the time we learn about the winter games! It's a perfect way to bring the Olympics into our world studies!
You can have your students make this flip book in any way you choose, but I would suggest printing pages 3-9, double stapling at the top of the flip book. Once you give the flip book to students, all they need to do is cut along the dotted lines and begin their study of the Olympics.
The pages included in the book include:
*Where and when the Winter Olympics will be held.
*Why they are being held in South Korea.
*The sports included in the 2018 games.
*Fun facts about the Olympics.
*History of the Olympics.
*Research-Based pages about South Korea.
The second page of this Flip Book gives students directions on how to use colored pencils or crayons to help comprehend what they are reading.
They are asked to complete the following:
*Underline in Green = 2 interesting facts you learned on the page.
*Circle in Red = unknown words.
*Box in Blue = Things that are different than in your country.
*Underline in Orange = Things that are similar to your country.
Thanks for looking!
