In this download you will find:
A speech and body percussion arrangement I composed using concepts and venue names from the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics. Pages 3 & 4.
A melodic percussion arrangement which uses exactly the same rhythms as the body percussion arrangement, in F doh pentatonic. Feel free to change the instrumentation to suit the needs and abilities of your students and the instruments you have available in your classroom. Pages 5 & 6.
Each score is laid out in the same way: A section, B section, C section. For ease of reading I did not insert the A section in between the B and C sections or again at the end. However, the intended form of the piece is as a rondo: A, B, A, C, A, D, and so on, ending with A.
Every Orff lesson should include opportunities for children to be creative, so include a D section as an improvisation over the bordun part. Extend the piece as needed following the rondo form to make room for as many children as possible to improvise and explore their own music.
